Confirmed Speaker – Steve Jelfs of Cardiac Science.
Steve will be speaking about cardiac arrest and the use of AEDs. The facts and up to date statistics. Steve Jelfs is currently an AED consultant working with Cardiac Science as International AED Specialist. Steve previously worked as Director of Services with the British Red Cross in Scotland and in addition was responsible for managing the UK Red Cross AED programme. He also set up and chaired the European Red Cross AED Task Force. Steve also had a twenty-three-year career in various ambulance services around the UK from paramedic to CEO, becoming the youngest chief ambulance officer in the UK when he was appointed to lead the Tayside Ambulance Service in 1987.
